OUR PROGRAM



Wonderfilled's programming is very individualized. We make space for learning wherever we are. Sometimes it may look like a lot of play because we believe that is the baseline of all learning.

While engaged with children in play it's also easier to catch where guidance is needed.

It's clinically proven that if there is not enough playtime (not screen time, but hands on, imaginative play with a peer) for children, they don't have the building blocks for emotional stability nor academic learning.

Having time and space to do the work of play with a small group of peers opens the doorway to seeking specific types of learning. It actually evokes a love of learning.

We're outside for 80% of our day (weather permitting, and it usually does). Searching out new playgrounds we've never been to before, we comb beaches, walk trails, look for book nooks, deliver newspapers, garden, and attend community events/activities.

As well, we access online learning.Wonderfilled facilitates the educational programming from a learner's online learning school in a therapeutic and supportive environment.

The Centre is contracted as a Support Provider to provide services to the learner working toward IEP goals and Learning Plan created by the learner's school of enrolment.

​

The Learning Centre and staff are support providers and are not considered the child's school.
